Seven state parks contain fully furnished vacation cabins.

Bedding accommodations vary, as shown on the chart below.

The maximum overnight capacity of each cabin cannot be more than 2 persons over the bedding accommodation number.

Cabin renters must provide their own towels, food, and personal supplies.

Cookware, cooking utensils, dinnerware, silverware and bed linens are provided.

All cabins feature heating and air conditioning, and some have fireplaces.

Group Camps

Six State parks contain Group Camps.

These may be reserved overnight or for day use.

The minimum overnight rate is based on 50% capacity.

The actual nightly rate is the minimum charge plus $4.00 per person for each person over the 50% capacity.

All group camps have central kitchens and dining facilities and have separate arrangements for coed occupancy.

Beds, cookware and cooking utensils are provided.

The user must furnish his own dinnerware, silverware, glasses, bed linens, towels, pillows, food, and personal supplies.

These are large overnight structures equipped with a kitchen, bath and sleeping facilities and can accommodate a large family or several family groups.
Cookware, camping utensils, dinerware, silverware and bed linens are provided.

Mini-Conference Specials
Groups reserving 50% or more of the cabins at North Toledo Bend and Chemin-A-Haut State Parks may use the conference rooms at those parks free of charge.
Groups may use the conference rooms at Bayou Segnette and Lake Fausse Pointe State Parks for 50% of the regular use rate.

Reservation Procedures

Visa and MasterCard accepted.

  • Check in Time - 4 p.m. (Sunday Check In Time - 6 p.m.)

  • Check Out Time - 2 p.m. (Sunday Check Out Time - 4 p.m.)
    • Reservations are made through each state park’s business office, all of which operate from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, and are closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day.

    • Reservations may be made for cabins, lodges, group camps, rally campsites, conference rooms, and rental picnic shelters.

    • Overnight reservations also may be made for regular campsites at the following state parks where reservations systems currently exist: Bayou Segnette, Chemin-A-Haut, Chicot, Fontainebleau, Lake Bistineau, Lake Fausse Pointe, North Toledo Bend, Sam Houston Jones,

    • Reservations can be made only at the individual park between 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, (except Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day).

    • Reservations for overnight use or for day use of conference rooms and rental picnic shelters for the period April 1 - September 30 are accepted beginning January 2 or the first working day after Januarry 1. (From January 2-4, reservations are accepted by phone only.) For the period October 1-March 31, reservations for these facilities are accepted beginning July 1. (From July 1-3, reservations are accepted by phone only. )
    • Reservations for day use of group camps and rally campgrounds for the period April 1-September 30 are accepted beginning February 1. Day use reservations for these facilities for the period October 1-March 31 are accepted beginning August 1.
    • Advance reservations may be made by Visa or Mastercard, personal check,or paid by cash in advance. If made by personal check, the reservation can only be confirmed if the check is received at least 14 days prior to the reservation date. If check is returned for non-sufficient funds within the 14 day period, the reservation is automatically cancelled.

    • An advance deposit equal to one night’s campsite rental fee is required to make an advance reservation for each regular campsite reserved. The normal campsite rate (less applicable discounts) will be charged for each site rented. Applicable discounts apply to the campsite rate but do not apply to the reservation fee.

    • Advanced reservations (1 night’s rental rate) for regular campsites are refundable under regular refund procedures.

    • Specific campsite locations cannot be reserved in advance. Individual campsite selection may be made by the user at the time of check-in, depending upon availability.

    • A camper may reserve up to five campsites for a particular date. However, a camper may reserve campsites for only one date in any 24 hour period. Advance reservations are not made for regular individual campsite usage on holiday weekends.
