Prudent Francis Mallard

Born Sevres, France the son of Peter Nicholas Mallard of Edinburgh, Scotland and Michel Louise Ogerof of Paris, France. Educated in France.
1829
Moves to New York City
1830s
Settles in New Orleans
1838
Opens a store on Royal Street. Also Marries to Augustine Andree Beltran daughter of Joseph and Barbara Barios Beltran.
1841
Moves his store to the corner of Royal and Bienville Street. He may have owned his own ships to transport exotic woods from South and Central America and to ship finished furniture to Europe.
1874
Liquidates his business
1879
Dies in New Orleans and is buried in Metairie Cemetery.
