State Historical Marker








Union Avenue Baptist Church

Organized by 11 charter members in a log cabin at Pool’s Bluff in 1855. Was first organized church, and it’s building housed first school in Bogalusa. Several log buildings also used as schools were occupied until 1874, when first lumber church was built. Moved to present location in 1913.

Located in Bogalusa, District 62, Washington Parish. 245
