Largest Sawmill Site

Just east of here stood Great Southern Lumber Co. (1908-1938). Founders F.H. and C.W. Goodyear chose city and mill sites May 15, 1906. Sawmill began operations September 1, 1908 with million board feet daily capacity, making it worldËs largest.
