East Louisiana State Hospital

400 yds. south of there stands the main building of East Louisiana State Hospital, built 1847-54 as the stateËs first permanent facility for the care of the mentally ill. One of the finest examples of Greek Revival style in Louisiana.

Located on Hwy 10 at entrance to hospital, East Feliciana Parish. 313
