     This square was first laid out by Bienville and royal engineers in 1718. The irregular lot lines in the middle of this block are along the old upriver rampart of the city.

     This Square is bounded by: 1200 Block of BOURBON St.; 700 Block of IBERVILLE St.; 1200 Block of ROYAL St.; 700 Block of CANAL St.
